How Your Old Tickets Get Into armincx

Upload an export file or connect your old account: ticket import brings your history into the armincx inbox, so your team doesn't have to look things up in the old tool after the switch.

Import via Export File

For Crisp, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Front, FreeScout, WhatsApp (iMazing) and Gmail, you upload the tool's export file. armincx checks the file, uploads it and shows the progress live.

For Freshdesk and Front, the upload screen shows the provider-specific file and column requirements as soon as the check fails. You fix the errors before the import starts.

Import From a Connected Account

You import Gorgias and Help Scout straight from the connected account. For Zendesk, you can choose between file import and the migration wizard. Help Scout doesn't need an API key: you sign in and click Authorize.

In the Zendesk and Gorgias wizard, you map the old statuses to armincx statuses and the old users to your agents. You invite missing teammates directly, and you replace or skip views that can't be imported as they are.

History With Original Timestamps

Imported tickets appear in the inbox with their original timestamps and message history. Depending on the source, you can pause long imports and resume them later.

Review a few imported tickets before you point customers or automations at the new workspace. For Help Scout and FreeScout, you start with a small test import.

Ticket Import in armincx: All Nine Sources

Ticket import brings historical conversations from another helpdesk or chat tool into armincx. Imported tickets appear in the inbox with their original timestamps and message history.

How to Start an Import

Under Settings → Integrations, scroll to Import tickets and choose your source. Each import checks your files, uploads them and shows the progress live. Depending on the source, you can pause and resume long imports. If Zendesk or Gorgias is already connected, you start the migration wizard on that integration's page.

What You Need for Each Source

Source What you need What gets imported
Crisp Conversation export as CSV, optionally the shortcut export as CSV Conversations, optionally shortcuts as macros
Zendesk JSON export files or a connected Zendesk account Tickets; in the wizard also views, macros and help centre content
Freshdesk Ticket export as JSON, optionally canned responses as CSV Tickets, optionally macros
Front Messages CSV export Conversations
FreeScout Export as a single .zip file, import switched on for your workspace, email channels in armincx Tickets, messages, internal notes, tags, assignments, attachments up to 10 MB
Gorgias A connected Gorgias account Tickets, inbox views, optionally macros and help centre content
Help Scout A Help Scout login with access to the mailboxes and email channels in armincx, no API key Conversations with messages, internal notes, tags, optionally attachments
WhatsApp (iMazing) CSV exports from iMazing and a WhatsApp channel in armincx Chats with message history, each file becomes one ticket
Gmail .mbox export from Google Takeout and an email channel in armincx Conversations with message history and attachments

Import or Live Sync

Ticket import is built for a one-time move. Ongoing two-way updates come through the sync integrations. For Zendesk and Gorgias, you use the integration on the connected account after the switch; Zendesk, Freshdesk and Gorgias each have their own integration page.

You'll find the step-by-step guides in our documentation.

How a Move to armincx Works

Three typical switches from everyday support.

Book a Demo

Zendesk Migration With the Wizard

Zendesk is already connected. In the migration wizard, you choose tickets, views and macros, map statuses and agents and start the import. The tickets keep their timestamps.

Zendesk Migration With the Wizard

Moving a Gmail Inbox

Support has been running through Gmail. You export the mailbox via Google Takeout as .mbox and choose the target channel. Each Gmail conversation becomes a closed ticket tagged gmail-import.

Moving a Gmail Inbox

WhatsApp History From iMazing

Old WhatsApp chats exist as an iMazing export. You choose the WhatsApp channel and the timezone of the export timestamps and upload the CSV files. Each file becomes one ticket with all its messages.

What to Know for Each Source

Crisp Export

You export conversations from Crisp as CSV and upload them on the Tickets tab. If you want to bring your shortcuts too, upload the shortcut export as CSV on the Macros tab.

Zendesk Migration

If you already have JSON export files, use the file import. If Zendesk is connected, start the wizard in the Migrations section of the Zendesk integration page in armincx: set the scope, map statuses, map agents and handle views that can't be imported as they are.

Freshdesk Export

You export tickets from Freshdesk as JSON and upload them on the Tickets tab. For macros, export your canned responses as CSV and upload them on the Macros tab.

Front Export

Front conversations come from a Messages CSV export. If the upload screen shows errors, fix them there and then start the import.

FreeScout Migration

FreeScout import is switched on per workspace. You upload the export as a single .zip file, match each FreeScout agent to an armincx agent and each mailbox to an email channel. Attachments larger than 10 MB are not imported.

Gorgias Migration

You connect the Gorgias account and start the wizard in the Migrations section of the Gorgias integration page in armincx. There you choose views, ticket range and optionally macros or help centre content, and map statuses and users.

Help Scout Import

You don't need an API key: you sign in to Help Scout and click Authorize. Each mailbox goes to the armincx channel with the same email address, otherwise to your default email channel. Help Scout imports only run between 11 PM and 10 AM, so plan a large import over one or more nights.

WhatsApp Chats From iMazing

First, create a WhatsApp channel in armincx. Each CSV file from iMazing represents one chat and becomes one ticket with all its messages. During the import, you choose the channel and the timezone of the export timestamps.

Gmail via Google Takeout

In Google Takeout, select only Mail and export as .mbox. You can upload up to 20 files of up to 200 MB each. Drafts are skipped, and Gmail's Sent label shows which messages came from your team.

Making Sure Nothing Goes Wrong During the Move

What Why Applies to, according to the docs
Set up channels first Imported conversations need a destination channel FreeScout, Help Scout, WhatsApp, Gmail
Invite your team beforehand Replies and assignments keep their original agent FreeScout
Test small A short date range or a small export lets you check the result before importing everything Help Scout, FreeScout
Import again Tickets and messages that were already imported are not duplicated Gmail, FreeScout, Help Scout
Check a sample Before you switch customers, channels or AI agents over All sources

When Ticket Import Pays Off

Ticket import is built for teams moving their customer service from another tool to armincx.

When You Switch Helpdesks

Whether it's Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias, Help Scout, Front, Crisp or FreeScout, the old conversations arrive in armincx with their original timestamps. Earlier requests sit in the same inbox after the switch.

When Support Has Been Running in Gmail or WhatsApp

You move a Gmail inbox with a Google Takeout export and WhatsApp chats with an iMazing export. Support without a helpdesk gets its history into armincx too.

When Your Macros Should Come Along

For Crisp and Freshdesk, you upload the macros as CSV; for Zendesk and Gorgias, you select them in the migration wizard. Your team starts with the text snippets it already knows.
