What Changes for Google Reviews

See the review, prioritise it, reply publicly: with Google Reviews in armincx it all runs in the same inbox as every other request.

Every New Review Becomes a Ticket

armincx checks for new reviews roughly once an hour. Each review gets its own ticket with the stars, location and name of the person who left it.

1 or 2 stars mean high priority, 3 stars medium and 4 or 5 stars low. The subject shows the stars and the first words of the review.

Reply as You Would to Any Message

You write the reply in the ticket, and it appears publicly below the review on Google straight away. After that, the ticket shows "Replied".

Each review has exactly one reply. If you send again, the new reply replaces the old one on Google, and armincx points this out to you beforehand.

Edited Reviews in the Same Ticket

If someone edits their review, armincx updates the same ticket at the next sync, even if you've already replied. If the stars change, the priority follows the new rating.

If the stars or text change, an internal note records the change. The new priority also replaces a priority you set manually.

Google Reviews and armincx: Connection, Locations and Tickets

With the Google Reviews channel, new reviews from your Google Business Profile land in armincx as tickets, and your reply appears below the review on Google. armincx only reads reviews and publishes replies. armincx never changes or deletes a review on Google.

The Connection

You need a Google account that is an owner or manager of a verified Google Business Profile. Only admins can connect, switch locations on and off and refresh the location list.

Under Channels, select the Google Reviews tile and sign in with the Google account that manages the Business Profile. On the Google screen, leave the business management permission ticked, otherwise the connection fails. You'll then see the Google email address and your locations. After the first sync, a new review at an active location should arrive as a ticket within about an hour.

Locations

Every location starts switched on. Switch off any locations whose reviews shouldn't go to the inbox. With "Refresh locations", armincx fetches your current locations from Google. New locations start switched on, and existing ones stay in the list.

What a Review Ticket Looks Like

What How
Subject stars and the first words of the review, or "Google review" for star-only reviews
Priority 1 to 2 stars high, 3 stars medium, 4 to 5 stars low
Review card stars, location and name; anonymous reviewers appear as "Google user"
Contact each review gets its own ticket and its own contact
Status on Google "Replied" as soon as a reply is published

AI in the Channel

AI suggestions and AI agents work on review tickets just as they do in the other review channels. AI replies are public too. So check the first ones before you allow automatic sending.

How Google Reviews Work With armincx

Three situations from everyday support.

Two Stars, High Priority

A customer gives your location two stars. In armincx, a high-priority ticket is created, with the stars and the first words of the review in the subject.

Two Stars, High Priority

One Reply, Public Straight Away

Your team replies in the ticket. The reply appears below the review on Google straight away, and sending again would replace it.

One Reply, Public Straight Away

Two Stars Become Four

After your reply, the customer edits their review. At the next sync, armincx updates the same ticket and records the change in an internal note.

What Matters When Replying Publicly

Replies on Google are public and visible immediately. There is no test mode. So start by replying to a review you're happy to answer publicly.

  • One reply per review: sending again replaces the previous reply on Google
  • Text only: up to 4,096 characters, no attachments. Google counts bytes, so a long reply with accents or emoji can still be rejected
  • No deleting from armincx: you can replace a reply in the ticket, but only delete it directly in Google
  • AI labelling: if it's active, the notice appears as text in the AI reply

Which Reviews Come In

On the first sync of a location, armincx looks back 30 days. Older reviews stay out, as do reviews that already have a reply on Google. Only reviews are imported, not questions, answers or photos. For translated reviews, you may see both the translation and the original.

Filtering Reviews

With the Google Reviews channel filter and the star rating filter, you can, for example, see only Google reviews with 1 or 2 stars. The star filter works across all review channels, so also for Reviews.io, eTrusted and Judge.me.
