Elfbar is a vape manufacturing company that produces different kinds of vape materials for audiences across Canada, the UK, and Europe. To celebrate its two-year anniversary, it decided to run a WhatsApp marketing campaign to target audiences and encourage them to participate in the anniversary sale.

The Challenge

Elfbar wanted to experiment with WhatsApp marketing for the first time. They needed a platform that would target their audiences on a more personal level compared to emails and other social media marketing strategies. Given that Elfbar had never used WhatsApp marketing before, the challenge was to reach their audiences most authentically while getting them to participate in the anniversary sale. Our Strategy

For a D2C brand like Elfbar, our goal was to communicate to the audience in a way they would appreciate. We crafted a very specific campaign message highlighting the anniversary and the accompanying discount. With our integrated Zendesk and Woocommerce solutions, customers were able to make enquiries and monitor their purchases right on WhatsApp. We wanted to showcase the power of a solid WhatsApp marketing strategy, and our strategy reflected this 100%.

74% Open Rate

This high open rate indicates the strength of our campaign messaging. It exceeds the typical open rate for other marketing channels, like Emails. It indicates that the audience found the sale exciting and was eager to engage.

42% Click Rate

Out of the 74% of users who opened the message, more than half interacted with the content. As a brand trying WhatsApp marketing for the first time, this is an impressive number, as it indicates the audience found the campaign 100% authentic and the messaging attractive enough to get them to engage.

€11,488 in Sales with a €116 WA Spend!

Our campaign brought in a whopping €11k in sales in the first 24 hours! The project completely paid for itself and spilt over. With a €116 WhatsApp spend, the ROI is over 9000%, depicting a highly successful WhatsApp marketing campaign. This value also depicts an 11.3% conversion rate, which is excellent for a first-time campaign with a brand-new audience group.
